Delicious Homemade English Muffin Bread

I finally made it!  I made Jillee’s English muffin bread and I am singing its praises.  I’m singing Jillee’s praises!  It makes me want to sing.

Tra la laaaaa!

It is seriously good bread.  I wish I’d discovered her recipe years ago.  To top off the deliciousness of the bread, this recipe couldn’t be any easier.  5 ingredients.

That’s it.  Mix it all together.

Divide among 4 greased loaf pans.  I meant to do the 4th loaf as English muffins like my friend Jes did last week.  She simply used an ice cream scoop.  My fried little brain forgot.  Oh well, next time. 🙂

Then let rise for about an hour until the dough reaches the top of your pans.  The loaf on the top left is a larger pan so I didn’t wait for it to rise all the way to the top.

Bake for about 45 minutes and about 10 minutes before they’re ready, brush them with melted butter.

Butter?  Why yes, I think I shall.

I ended up cooking my loaves for only about 35 minutes (an extra 6 minutes after buttering them).  They’re a lovely golden brown.

Check them out. nom nom nom.

Complete with nooks and crannies!  Motherlode!

After dinner I had to have a toasted slice topped with butter & honey as Jillee recommends.

Heavens to Betsy.

I took a bite.  Blisssssssuuuuh.  My husband took a bite.  Thumbs up.  Who had the dainty bite?

Hint: I don’t take dainty bites when eating delectable bread in the privacy of my home.

My huge thanks to Jillee of One Good Thing for sharing this recipe!  An instant family favorite.  I’ll keep one loaf out for the week and once they’ve cooled completely I’ll slice the other 3 loaves and freeze them.

If you’d like the complete recipe, you can check it out here.  Excuse me while I make myself another slice…

  8. Your bread turned out BEAUTIFULLY! Good job! So glad you like! And DARLING post. 🙂

    • Thank you so much, Jillee! I actually couldn’t wait to wake up so I could eat it again 🙂 No joke. No wonder you love it so–and I think honey and butter might be my favorite way to eat it, too! 🙂 Thank you!

  9. To make English muffins with the ice cream scoop, what do you drop the dough on to cook? Large muffin pans? Thanks.

    • I haven’t done them with the scoop, but my friend just dropped a scoop full onto a cookie/baking sheet i believe. Then sliced after baking. Hope that helps & thanks for stopping by, Judy:)

  10. Oh boy, it looks just as good as I thought it would! Will have to try it this week, although I only have one lonely little bread pan, so maybe I’ll make the little ones on a baking sheet. Thanks Danielle 🙂

  11. This looks so good! i think I’m going to have to try this out. My little ones love english muffins and toast, it would be great to be able to just make it at home!
