“One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.”

I’m going along with Virginia Woolf and making sure we eat well and rest before Christmas party festivities begin tonight.  🙂  I think that quote is particularly true during the holiday season.  We have had a week jam-packed with spirited and fun events, and while I definitely enjoyed it all, I’m certainly feeling a little rundown and out of sorts.  In order for me to be able to relax and revel in the holiday spirit tonight with dear family and friends, I need to feel refueled and calm.  I’m on my way!

Everyone has been ordered to take a nap (toddler, husband, and Duke the dog…and no complaints!), a filling dinner is slow cooking away, and I’m about to wrap some presents and watch a favorite Christmas movie before we need to get ready for my in-laws’ annual Christmas party.  Ahhhh…..and if I get a couple of loads of laundry done before dinner, I’ll be ahead of the game for tomorrow.  Not bad, Danielle.  Not bad.

What are your plans for this holiday weekend?  Are you relaxing in your cozy home or headed out for seasonal fun?
